Sue Stone MD has been a practicing physician since 1985. She graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and then completed a three-year residency in Family Practice.  After 4 years in practices focused on obstetrics, she became an emergency physician, the last 6 of those years at St. Agnes Medical Center.  After a bit of a spiritual nudge, Dr. Stone opened her practice in Holistic Medicine in 2001. She is now board-certified in Holistic Medicine. She has two grown children whom she adores. Briana is in law school and intends to do public interest law.  Her mom is extremely proud of her. Sean is a botanist and world traveler. Dr. Stone occasionally meets him in far corners of the world to share in his explorations. Dr. Stone continues to educate herself on all the new developments in Holistic Medicine and is constantly adding new tools to her armory.  Her interests include travel, backpacking, cycling, scuba diving, botany, birding, cooking, and GLBT issues.”  Dr. Stone has had a progressive, cause-unknown, hearing loss for many years and has become almost deaf. You may or may not notice this when you come to the office because last year she had a cochlear implant which is working great for her!  Around the same time she was given Willa, a certified hearing service dog, to help her when she doesn’t have her hearing gadgets on or is too far from the sounds she needs to hear. You may notice Willa curled up on her bed in the back office or occasionally wandering around the office looking for an ear rub. She is happy to visit you in the exam room—just ask!
